Apparently no one knows what the hell two tone is. People really think two racing stripes or a gold chicken on a hood constitute as two tone. Original Jalop article !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . What do you guys think?

I think we think similarly. My contribution to the thread was a 1956 Vicky. True two-tone, not just some stripey bits.

I was rather shocked how many were just racing stripes over a regular car. Two-tone means two different colors, like lower body in one and upper in the other color, or a different colored roof/pillars.

I posted a proper, and rare

As a Subaru enthusiast, I feel I am more than qualified to judge what is two-tone and what is not. A lot of what was posted in that article was not two-tone.

Kinja'd!!!

This is two-tone.

This is two-tone.

This is two-tone.

This might be considered two-tone, but is pushing it.

Kinja'd!!!

This isn't two-tone. I'm glad I could help clear that up.

A lot of people who comment on the FP are down right retarded

How these people get approved for instant posting, and I am still stuck in limbo , I'll never know...

I agree, stripes and two-tone paint are two different things. But it's hard to point it out without sounding like a buzzkill. Everybody loves stripes.

They're two-tone-ing wrong. Stripes are stripes. Decals are decals.

Sigh. Apparently, they don't know what the Malaise Era was, either . Or the definition of that keeps changing . And it's not like I was really there to remember the era, either. I was born in the last 9 months of it.

And I see all your shabby two-tone cars and raise you a three-tone Packard!

There's a reason I check Oppo at least 10 times a day, yet only check the FP about once a week.
